Fields of specialization: post-colonial Latin American literature,
inter-American studies, comparative cultural studies, gender
studies, film and media studies and critical theory. Publications
include, The Dialectics of Exile: Nation, Time, Language and Space
in Hispanic Literatures (Purdue UP 2004), a book in progress, Ariel
Dorfman: An Aesthetics of Hope, as well as a collection, co-edited
with Earl E. Fitz, Comparative Cultural Studies and Latin America
(Purdue UP 2004), in addition to book chapters and articles.
